London - Marks & Spencer secured a Gold Medal for their Spirit of Summer: Carnival of Flowers exhibit at the Royal Hortical Society Chelsea Flower Show this week.
M&S's design celebrates floral and cultural diversity, showcasing blooms from around the world.
Vibrantly coloured, the exhibit is split into four sections and features cut flowers and potted plants from the UK, Europe, Africa and South America.
M&S isn’t the only retailer that participated in the show. Luxury department store Harrods is exhibiting Harrods British Eccentrics Garden’, a unique space designed and created by award-winning gardener and TV personality, Diarmuid Gavin.
Michael Ward, Harrods Managing Director stated: “This year, we wanted to create a garden that would embody the essence of tradition, beauty, innovation and excellence – a garden that would capture a quintessential British style and perfectly reflect Harrods values and traditions, but with a playful and quirky twist. Harrods has had a working relationship with Diarmuid for more than 10 years and we felt he would be the perfect person to design our garden and bring this vision to life.”
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show runs until Saturday, 28 May.
