Miu Miu has presented its latest film short at the Venice Film Festival this week. In collaboration with filmmaker Agnès Varda, widely recognised as the “grandmother of Nouvelle Vague”, the new film's title is 'Les 3 Boutons.'
The plot follows a young girl, played by emerging actress Jasmine Thiré, who receives a Disney-like ball gown in the post. Thiré forgoes this dress in favour of her school uniform and in doing so “gently reverses the clichés of girlhood.”
This is the tenth film in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales series, an initiative started by Miuccia Prada in 2011 with the aim to celebrate the women of the silver screen, as well as the long-standing friendship between fashion and film.
