A new crash course in fashion business to help aspiring designers set up their own fashion label will be launched by consultancy The Bridge Co this Saturday.

The course, FYI Starting Your Own Fashion Brand, is a one-day event billed as a must for new graduates and fashion students. It includes a series of informal talks from industry experts including public relations guru and Mandi Lennard and Dazed editor Dean Mayo Davies. These talks will cover a range of topics that aren’t usually covered on fashion design courses including branding, intellectual property, finance, pricing, publicity and sales.

The Bridge Co. is a consultancy specialising in SMEs and works with brands including Claire Barrow, Ashley Williams and Helen Lawrence. Designed to help emerging designer and contemporary brands master the business side of fashion, the agency takes an organic approach to problem solving and tailoring strategies to individual brands.

The course will be held in The Apartment at The Hoxton in Holborn this Saturday at 10:00.
