London-based label Shrimps, best known for its faux-fur and playful aesthetics, is set to launch a homeware collection in collaboration with Habitat. Shrimps’ fashion designer, Hannah Weiland, was invited to translate her label’s style into a series of textile and artwork for the home. The collection is set to launch in September, according to Habitat’s website.
The details of the collection are being kept under wraps, but Habitat invited the fans of the UK label to submit their email addresses to be the first ones to know once more details are revealed.
This is not the first time Habitat teams up with a fashion designer to launch a capsule collection of home furnishings. Henry Holland, who just signed a Pride capsule collection in partnership with eBay, launched his first interiors collection with Habitat three years ago.
Founded in 2013, Shrimps became famous for its signature faux-fur coats, which caused the brand to be supported by animal rights organizations such as Peta. The Antonia bag, which is entirely covered in imitation pearls, is one of the label’s most successful items to date.
