Summertime is beach time: What can you relax more than lying on soft sand? Finally there is time for things you don't have time for in everyday life. You have probably already have the basics packed in your bag. But what are the must-haves for this year you should never be without? Here are the 5 must-haves for the perfect beach visit this summer.

  • Round bath towels with tribal print:

Gone are the days of the old terry-towelling rectangle. Round beach towels are conquering the beaches - and Instagram. There is hardly a trend blogger, who can do without one this year. And of course you shouldn't either.

The tribal prints are a perfect fit for the Coachella trend, which is casting its spell over everyone, even after the 2016 festival. The colours range from soft turquoise and pink via purple to bold green or blue tones. The originals are the iconic items exclusively from the Australian brand "The Beach People", which their fans affectionately call a "roundie". • Flashy sunglasses in a retro look:

One accessory that you cannot do without on the beach is sunglasses. With stylish glasses you're not just an eye-catcher on the beach, but you can also always keep an eye on what is happening around you. This year, you cannot be bold enough when it comes to sunglasses. Whether they are large and round or colourful mirrored lenses, such as in the sunglasses from Edeloptics: Anything goes!

The styles recall classics from decades past. Round glasses in the John Lennon style, for example, are part of the boho themes running through all the fashion trends this summer. Colourful mirrored lenses give the retro style a modern touch. (Image source: https://www.edel- optics.de/)

  • Oversized inflatable islands:

Are air mattresses are just for kids? Not this year! Celebrities like Paris Hilton and Reese Witherspoon are proud to be photographed with their #FLOATY and the whole world is following them. The huge fashion accessories come in a range of shapes. Especially popular are, for example, doughnuts, watermelon pieces or flamingos. The absolute pinnacle however are unicorn-shaped floaties. • Broad-brimmed sun hats:

This year your headgear aims at the newly interpreted hippie styles of famous festival-goers. Floppy straw hats with a wide brim provide shade and protect your complexion. They are also popular in bright colours. For the trend-factor Borten make hats with ethnic patterns, colourful bobbles or - to be especially hip – sequin lettering. For those who prefer something more discreet, try straw fedora hats with a woven leather band or narrow cord on the head part. (https://www.instagram.com/bitsandpiecestogo/)

  • Braided Beach Bag:

A perfect fit for the beach shopper made from raffia or wicker. They not only look super-stylish dangling casually at your elbow - they also guarantee plenty of room to carry everything you need for a day at the beach. Decorative elements, such as fringes, pom-poms and sequins logos are mega trendy here. Bright colours create an extra summer mood.

If you prefer to head for the sun with a light backpack, Boho bags are an equally hip alternative. The most brightly coloured bags, made from woven cotton or jute, are pulled shut with a cord and can be thrown casually over the shoulder. The classic gym-bag shape is also practical, which we love to wear as a backpack!

Have you gathered your five fashion items together? Then nothing is standing in the way of a relaxing trip to the beach!
