New CEO at Viktor & Rolf

London - Viktor & Rolf has appointed Andrea Collesei as its new chief executive officer, as the Dutch fashion label looks to reposition itself in the top luxury segment.

Collesei joins from Italian fashion brand Diesel, which like Viktor & Rolf is part of Renzo Rosso’s OTB Holdings, where he held various roles, most recent serving as head of distribution.

Early this year Rosso announced big plans for the Dutch fashion label, revealing that he was halting the production of the brand’s ready-to-wear line after the autumn/winter 2015 season, in order to turn attention fully on the label’s couture collections, fragrances and licensed businesses.

At the time, Rosso said the move was "a strategic decision to position the Viktor & Rolf brands in the highest luxury segment of fashion.”
