Starting from tomorrow, clothing worn by Amazon Fashion Europe's brand ambassador for spring/summer 2016, Chiara Ferragni, will be available on Amazon's five European websites (amazon.co.uk/fashion, amazon.de/fashion,amazon.fr/fashion, amazon.it/fashion and amazon.es/fashion). Though Amazon also has a country-specific website for the Netherlands (amazon.nl), the fashion page is not available there.

Amazon Fashion announced the appointment of digital fashion icon Ferragni, founder of TheBlondeSalad.com, as its European brand ambassador for spring/summer 2016 on 10th February 2016. In her role, Ferragni features in Amazon’s advertising and social media campaign for fashion across Europe.

“Chiara is a smart business woman with a strong sense of personal style and is a great advocate for our ‘Don’t look like me, look like you’ campaign,” commented Juliet Warkentin, director of brand & creative at Amazon Fashion Europe.

Ferragni credits e-tailers like Amazon for accessibility of fashion

“I’m delighted to be working with Amazon Fashion. Thanks to online retailers like Amazon, fashion is more accessible than ever, which is really exciting as fashion inspires a lot of people. Nowadays you don't need to live in a fashion capital of the world, have lots of money or be able to shop during certain hours. With online retail, it’s possible to browse and shop for fashion anytime of the day, from pretty much anywhere,” said Ferragni.

The 27-year-old is said to be “the most influential fashion blogger in the world”. She shot the campaign with photographer Cass Bird and Julia Sarr-Jamois, fashion editor at i-D magazine, at Amazon’s state-of-the-art European fashion photography studio in Shoreditch, East London. Among her favourite pieces for spring/summer 2016 are co-ords, an embellished jumpsuit and tailored mini dresses from brands including Gestuz, Selected Femme, Tommy Hilfiger and the new entrant to Amazon Fashion, Keepsake.

Fashion is one of Amazon’s fastest growing and most profitable categories, which is why the e-tailer recently announced the launch of its own fashion brands in the US. In Europe, Amazon’s brand offering includes Mango, French Connection, Hugo Boss, New Balance, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Puma, Gucci watches and Missoni shoes.
