Amazon is hoping to build awareness and be considered as a fashion destination with the launch of its first television advertising campaign in Europe.

The campaign is based on the premise of 'Delivering Fashion,' harnessing the company's strength of delivering all sorts of goods to all locations.

The campaign features models dressed in clothes available from its ecommerce platform and sees logo branded parcels delivered to customer's homes.

The ad is being aired on all major UK stations including ITV, channels 4 and 5, Sky, Viacom and Fox and will appear at peak times across sports, movies, dramas, comedies and entertainment and run until the end of October.

Earlier this year Amazon hired former Frances Russell, the former womenswear director from Marks & Spencer. The company also operates a fashion photography studio in Shoreditch where it shoots editorial style images.

This is Amazon's first foray into television advertising in Europe as aims to further build its credentials as a fashion hub.
