German fashion company Gerry Weber International AG is strongly increasing its brand presence in the United Kingdom, as this fall sees Gerry Weber open seven shop-in-shops at high street department store House of Fraser.

In the remaining months of 2015, the company will open shop-in-shops in Maidstone, Sutton Coldfield and Glasgow. The first shop-in-shops of the fashion brand opened in September in Cheltenham, Grimsby and Cardiff. Next on the list was Leeds in October. The average size of the shop-in-shops is 65 square metres. After the House of Fraser store openings, the German brand will have fourteen UK shop-in-shops in total as well as 17 stand alone stores throughout the country.

Gerry Weber declined to comment on the reasons behind their collaboration with House of Fraser. The company also refused to disclose information on plans for further expanding in the United Kingdom.

Gerry Weber was founded in 1973 and currently owns four women´s fashion brands, namely Gerry Weber, Taifun, Samoon and Hallhuber. The company has over 3,000 points of sale in more than 60 countries, including Belgium, The Netherlands and the United States. The company first entered the UK market in 2008.
