Argentinian polo fashion label La Martina will launch its first flagship store in London in December. The new store will be located on the corner of Jermyn Street and Eagle Place.

The store counts 2,960 square feet and will offer the full assortment of fashion, accessories and technical polo kit. The range also includes collections for the Guards Polo Club in Surrey and Maserati.

La Martina, which was founded 30 years ago, has two points of sale in the UK. The first is The Guards Polo Club Store, which opened eight years ago. The second is a concession at Harrods. The brand is also available through 45 wholesalers.

The company is now gearing up for expansion in the UK, due largely to the fact that polo is such a popular sport in this country. The brand has narrow ties with the Guards Polo Club, but also has established partnerships with polo teams at universities and schools.

"Our current strategy is aimed at developing a process to embrace the style and history of traditional English tailoring," La Martina Europa CEO Enrico Roselli told Drapers.
