Michael Kors unveils largest European flagship store in London

London - US designer Michael Kors has officially opened his eponymous label's largest flagship store in Europe, in the heart of London.

Located on 179 Regent Street, the 16,275 square foot stores sits amongst the likes of Burberry, Karl Lagerfeld and Tommy Hilfiger, spanning three floors which showcase a new design concept developed by the label's in-house team. The new flagship offers the full range of Michael Kors labels, including Michael Kors Collection ready-to-wear, Men's ready-to-wear, accessories, handbags, jewelry and watches.

"London is one of the world’s great fashion cities and an endless source of inspiration for me personally," said Michael Kors on the opening. "I’m thrilled to be opening a beautiful new flagship on Regent Street that represents everything we do and offers our customers the full world of Michael Kors."

Michael Kors shut its former store, previously located at 223 Regent Street ahead of the opening of its new location, which interiors feature Macassar wood floor, stainless steel shelves, Venetian wallpaper and Calacatta marble. The store's ground floor is dedicated to the brand's accessories, whilst its first floor to women's wear and it's subterranean level to men's wear.

"Our Regent Street flagship illustrates the evolution of the Michael Kors brand and the scope of our commitment to the business in Europe," added John D. Idol, Chairman and CEO of Michael Kors. "This new European flagship enables us to present the full range of our luxury offering, including our exciting and fast-growing menswear line."

The store opening comes not long after the opening of a new regional flagship Michael Kors store, located within the Meadowhall shopping center in Sheffield, Yorkshire.
