TFG-owned womenswear brand Phase Eight is continuing its retail expansion with a new Scottish flagship in Edinburgh.

The opening at 85 George Street marks Phase Eight’s return to Edinburgh and the retailer’s fourth standalone store in Scotland as part of its commitment to the Scottish market, with a fifth standalone due to open in Glasgow’s Braehead Centre in May.

The Edinburgh store is the latest stage of Phase Eight’s retail expansion strategy, which launched in 2023 with 13 stores across the UK and Europe. It joins its other retail openings this year at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol and Kingston. Additional store openings planned for 2024 include Bluewater, Blanchardstown and Hamburg.

The new Scottish flagship spans 3,444 square feet and adopts Phase Eight’s new store concept housing the brand’s latest event and ready-to-wear collections, alongside petite, limited-edition ranges such as bridal and its black-tie Collection 8 and its newly launched childrenswear line.

Housed in a period building, the store features oak and tile flooring throughout, an art nouveau style staircase, which provides access to the private VIP personal styling suite, bespoke furniture, curved feature walls and large format digital screens.

Caraline Money, group retail director at Phase Eight, said in a statement: “Having previous traded in Edinburgh, we are thrilled to be back in this iconic city with our latest flagship store. We truly value our Scottish customers, and we are delighted to bring the flagship experience to Scotland where we will be able to showcase our full range including limited-edition collections.”
