Beauty emporium Sephora has once again got a physical store in the UK after opening a new 6,000 square-foot unit at Westfield London shopping centre.
The store opening, which was celebrated with a performance from the Sugababes, follows the LVMH-owned beauty retailer’s return to the UK market with a dedicated e-commerce site in October after its purchase and rebranding of Feelunique.
Sarah Boyd, UK country manager at Sephora, said in a statement: “After the launch of our website last autumn, we are thrilled to open our first Sephora store in one of London’s most vibrant shopping destination.
“This new store will showcase Sephora’s best-in-class beauty expertise and provide unique services to UK customers, including makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, body, and personalised gifting.”
The store introduces what Sephora calls “next-generation retail design,” with its beauty playground aimed at enhancing the retail experience for UK consumers. This includes showcasing more than 135 brands, with several exclusive to Sephora UK, such as Makeup by Mario, Gxve by Gwen Stefani, One/Size by Patrick Starrr, Vegamour, Skinfix, Commodity and its own Sephora Collection.
The space also debuts several brands in physical retail for the first time in the UK, including Tarte, Glow Recipe, Supergoop!, Danessa Myricks and Kosas, alongside beauty favourites from the likes of Fenty Beauty, Drunk Elephant, Ilia, Milk Makeup, Jvn, Gisou, Dior, Tom Ford and Jo Malone.
At the heart of the store is the Grand Beauty Hub offering beauty services and treatments performed by its in-house experts alongside brand professionals. This includes professional makeup services provided by a Sephora University-trained in-house team and a comprehensive menu of express skin treatments from premium skincare brands, including Dermalogica, Glow Recipe, Elemis, Sisley & Seasonly.
Other highlights include Sephora’s first Lip Bar, offering customers an array of colours and finishes, the ‘Hot on Social’ corner spotlighting the current top 10 trending items on social media, and the Benefit Brow Bar.
