Beauty emporium Sephora is continuing its UK expansion with two new stores set to open in Newcastle this autumn.

Sephora said it will open a 6,515-square-foot store at Eldon Square and a 6,180-square-foot unit at the MetroCentre, offering local customers “an unparalleled shopping experience” and brands across make-up, travel, fragrance, skincare, haircare, grooming and wellness.

Exclusive brands will include Makeup by Mario, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga and Topicals, as well as Glossier, Rare Beauty, Kayali and Glow Recipe.

Both ‘beauty playgrounds’ will provide in-store beauty services, from quick on-the-go treatments to a complete ‘Glam Look’ services from Sephora’s beauty advisors across make-up, skincare, hair and brows. There will be facials from Elemis, Dermalogica and Seasonly, brows by Benefit and a dry style bar from Dyson.

Sarah Boyd, managing director at Sephora UK, said in a statement: "Continuing our trend of listening to our customers and where they want to see us open, we heard the beauty community of the North East loud and clear when they asked us to open in Newcastle city centre and the Metro Centre.

“Opening not one, but two amazing beauty playgrounds at the same time is a bold step, and one we have great confidence in. We are beyond excited to welcome all the passionate beauty lovers of the region to our stores and to create an iconic moment for retail in the North East."

The news comes as Sephora gets ready to open a new store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester this spring, adding to its two successful openings in London.
