About the Job
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and driven Print Assistant to join our in-house Design team for our brand Love & Roses. We are passionate about print and are looking for someone who loves it as much as we do. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their talent within the fashion industry. You will work closely with a creative and talented Senior Designer who will strongly support your development and provide the opportunity to grow your experience.
You will…
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Photoshop and the ability to put prints into repeat ready for digital and screen printing.
- Ability to create original and vintage inspired prints both in repeat and as placement artworks engineered to the garment.
- Able to create unique and commercial colourways from our seasonal palettes.
- Preparation of print packs for factories to clearly understand.
- Research relevant trends for print and colour in keeping with the brand and customer mindset.
- Work under pressure and focus on delivering the best prints needed for the department.
- Keep up to date with the latest trends via shops, catwalks and social media, to provide insight and recommendations to the team.
- Provide consistent and quality admin support to your manager and team.
- Continually aim to develop yourself, asking your Manager for support and guidance
Your Talent…
- Demonstrate an ability to design trend relevant and commercial prints
- PC/Mac literate - Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Word, Adobe Suite
- Inspire by bringing newness with key ideas relevant to the brand. A love of social media trends, influencers and catwalks is a must.
- A passion for print from competition, designers, vintage and other inspirational sources
- Previous knowledge of a fast paced/ trend lead work place is a bonus.
- Broad understanding of current competitive marketplace
- Ability to translate trends into a commercial way for the Love & Roses customer
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great organisation skills and the ability to adjust to changes and work flexibly
- Able to multitask whilst producing high quality output and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and resilience
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
