Pizza Hut to join fast food fashion

After fast food giant McDonald has come out with a limited line of Big Mac inspired clothing and rival Burger King with a 'flame-grilled fragrance', Pizza Hut is thinking along the same lines. The pizza chain is planning to offer pizza-inspired accessories like scarfs, hats, caps and totes soon.
"We thought that everyone loves pizza, so why not show it through quirky accessories?" said a company spokesperson on Tuesday.
Though no visuals have been released yet about the new Pizza Hut range, the spokesperson promised it would be "mouthwatering". "The pizza slice will be the focus of our new accessories collection. It will be printed on scarfs and totes and we're thinking of slice-shaped hats and bags", he said.
The company is planning to introduce the accessories line in autumn of this year, which will be available at Pizza Hut outlets throughout the United States and at selected retail partners, which are yet to be announced. Customers in the rest of the world will have to be patient a little longer as Pizza Hut wants to try out its foray in the world of fashion on home turf first before heading abroad.
With fast food chains taking to fashion, we wonder what will be next - Subway coming out with foot-long bags, Taco Bell with chalupa t-shirts and KFC with clever slogans printed on hoodies? The options seem limitless.
Update: Unfortunately, there will be no Pizza Hut accessories at this point in time - the story was purely part of the April Fools tradition.
